Welcome to the Advincula Lab!

Welcome to the website for the Advincula Lab Group. Our research is at the forefront of polymer science, nano-materials, and additive manufacturing, specializing in advanced characterization of polymers and novel synthesis methods. The lab was started in 2021, and since then, we have pursued an interdisciplinary approach in chemistry to tackle complex problems in materials science, biomedical engineering, and smart materials
Our lab leads investigations into polyelectrolyte research, specifically polyelectrolyte-based soft matter, including complex coacervates, as well as manufacturing polyelectrolytes in direct-int writing printing. We have designed smart particles and nanoparticles, such as foldable bilayers and core-shell systems for targeted functions.
Through our collaborative research with institutions such as Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) and the Steinmetz group, we are committed to advancing materials science through our research-driven development of novel technologies and groundbreaking science. |
